buildmycareer.org is a volunteer-run, nonprofit mentoring platform. We connect mentees with independent volunteer mentors. Use of this site and any related services is subject to the terms below.
Mentorship, workshops, and any materials provided through buildmycareer.org are offered for general guidance and educational purposes only. We do not guarantee any specific outcome — including employment, promotion, admission, income, or skill certification — as a result of using this platform.
Mentors who participate through buildmycareer.org are independent volunteers, not employees, agents, or representatives of buildmycareer.org. Views, advice, and guidance shared by a mentor are their own and do not represent an official position of buildmycareer.org.
buildmycareer.org performs a basic review of mentor sign-ups but does not conduct professional licensing checks or comprehensive background checks. Mentees should exercise their own judgment when engaging with any mentor, as they would with any individual met through a community platform.
Nothing shared through buildmycareer.org — including mentor conversations, workshop content, or AI-assisted guidance — constitutes legal, financial, medical, psychological, or other licensed professional advice. For matters requiring professional expertise, please consult a qualified, licensed professional.
Sessions are scheduled directly between mentors and mentees using third-party tools such as Calendly. buildmycareer.org is not responsible for the availability, security, or conduct of these third-party services, or for missed, cancelled, or rescheduled sessions.
Our Discord community and social media channels (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn) are provided for community engagement. Content posted by members or shared by these platforms does not necessarily reflect the views of buildmycareer.org, and we are not responsible for content, availability, or conduct on third-party platforms we do not control.
Some of our programs, including workshop tracks, may be relevant to teenagers. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, we ask that you review these terms together with a parent or guardian before participating, and that a parent or guardian is aware of your use of the platform.
